Hi! Any news on the 2nd Chapter? "SH2 Remake" has been released.  "Post Trauma" is on the way. The 1st Chapter of Simulacrum looks rather promising. Please guys, don't cancel the development. Finish it. Looking forward to playing Chapter 2.

WHY THE FUCK DOERS NO ONE TALK ABOUT THIS GAME

WHAT THE HELL

This one's really not getting any traction huh...

Your game looks and feels like something straight from the PS 2 catalogue. And while I am not a big fan on SH cloning I can't help but be fascinated by the effort and talent it must've taken to come up with something so compelling.

Some person also gave it a 1 star rating. Absurd! I gave it a 5 star rating in the name of justice. (I don't usually feel the need to do that.)

Edit: Ok I see. This was an older title that ended up getting released over on Game Jolt. Surprised it didn't stick out in my mind. I don't expect this to be getting a chapter 2 then and if it is, I find it to be unlikely.

Honestly I don't see many Silent Hill clones compared to Resident Evil clones. There are plenty that are "inspired by" silent hill in some way but I can count on one hand the number of indie games that actually get the right tone/atmosphere, this is one of them.

More than you think and fewer than RE has, aye. In any case I agree that this is a good game.

If you could name a few then I would love to play them. Aside from this game, Lost in Vivo, and Lone Survivor, every Silent Hill inspired game/clone has missed the mark terribly for me. Not just in the sense of not being a good game but more not understanding the atmosphere and tone. Post Trauma looks promising too.

I'm very cautious when making recommendations for games since I know people's reasoning for liking a singular thing will vary depending on their background information that they've accumulated surrounding said thing. For me it's always been a mostly vibe thing that renders me pretty lenient as long as it's execution is what I could reasonably consider tasteful by my own metrics.

If you wish to discover more games in the same vein then perhaps you could turn to the YouTube video maker Silent Archives's "I Played Every Modern Silent Hill Clone". (It's not every, but I digress.)

Alternatively you could check out my collection here on itch.io which attempts to group together the finds tied to this site: https://itch.io/c/1698513/silent-hill-likes

But judging from your previously liked titles I wager the vast majority of games will not make the cut in the end which is fair enough too.

I've seen that video but there were some games on that list I haven't check out, thanks! I think the problem for me is two-fold. There are a decent number of promising titles but they're mostly demos or short proof of concept games. There are also not as many which fully commit to being a Silent HIll clone, often they copy the aesthetic but try to do their own thing, which is fine, but I'd really like some more good Silent Hill.

Are you still working on this? This is probably my favourite Silent Hill inspired indie game. It totally nails the atmosphere.

Nice  really great game I like it and good atmospheric i don't know how much to say cause I really like it anyway well done keep it up!

Thanks..
